  1. Mrs turner doesn't like Tea Cake because she thinks he's too black for Janie. And not black as in a sense of COLOR but black as in a sense of RACE. She doesn't like black people at all. She thinks that they are too BLACK. She loves white people. She has the complexion of a white person. She think whites are way better than blacks. Yes i think so. Because there are certain black people of today that think white people are better than their own race.

  3. Mrs. Turner doesn't like Tea Cake because she think he is too black for Janie. She believes that woman her color should go with light skinned or white people. Mrs.m Tturner believes that its too many black people. She think they should lighten up the race. I believe it is still going on today because it is still some people out iin the world that don't like to date black people because of the personality nd their features.

Mrs.m Tturner believes that its too many black people. Mrs. Turner and tells Janie that he doesn’t want Mrs. Turner around the house. He plans to visit Mr. Turner to tell him to keep his wife away, but when he meets the man on the street.Yes I think so because some black people think that white people are better than them and sometimes have better quality of things.

  7. Mrs. Turner wants to be as close to whites as possible, and she believes that if the lighter skinned blacks "class off" the whites will accept them as equals. Given the time period, do you believe her assumption to be valid? Please make sure you spell check before you post.

  8. I don't think they would accept them either way it goes. Mainly because it was around segregation time and some whites were racist towards ANY blacks.

  9. Mrs. Turner is a very conceited woman who dislikes her own race. she thinks that black people are too dark, lazy, and foolish. Mrs. Turner prefers the white race over her own because she loves light-skinned people. After over hearing what Mrs. Turner says about Tea Cake he tells Janie that he doesn't want her around her anymore or at their house either. So Janie took Tea Cake's advice immediately and changes her ways different toward Mrs. Turner. Yes i think Mrs. Turner beliefs are still reflected by certain segments of life today because some people treat others different because those people don't have what they have. But the main reason of that problem today is that the person who do have something they usually have better things in which the other people may have so they do all they could to talk down on those individuals to make themselves feel better.

  10. Mrs. Turner doesnt ike TeaCake because he is too black for Janie . She admires Janie because Janie looks white or almost white just like she . Mrs. Turner thinks that the lighter you are the more you suppose to talk down on someone and be mean to them . She thinks thats how things work . She also think whatever your skin color is thats the person you are suppose to be with . Like dark skin with dark skin , white with white , and light skin with light skin . I think people do still go by on what Mrs. Turner feels about relations with color . Like people look at an interacial couple as if ita weird thing . I dont know about if they care about certain colors/shades should be together .

  11. Mrs. Turner despises Tea Cake because he is black and she doesn't think he is fit for Janie. She assures Janie that interracial couples are more acceptable and how she could never imagine herself with a man of a darker skin tone than herself.

I think self hatred as you would call Mrs. Turner's problem very much so occurs in different parts of the black race today. Many blacks are "color struck" and put the lighter complexions on a pedal stool and it doesn't stop at just caucasion but even diversions in blacks such as dark, brown and light skin where dark skin is at the bottom of the totem pole and brown but even more so light skin is viewed as better.
