U. S. History 11- Today students did Bellringer #5: Analyzing Tabular Data, a biographical reading on Samuel Gompers, and Guided Reading 14-4. They turned in the guided reading activity, so if you were absent, you need to get one off the absentee board when you return and turn it in. They also turned in bellringers today. Your test on Chapter 14 is tomorrow. If you want to get ahead for the next chapter, your Chapter 15 vocabulary and lecture notes are already posted on the class wiki and my Carver webpage. You will be given a project this Friday entitled "Turn of the Century PhotoStory Project". The details of the project, the rubrics I will use for grading the project, and some examples of the project done by students last year are posted on the wiki. To find the project and rubrics on the Carver webpage, Look under "file manager". The due date for this project will be October 12th, NO EXCEPTIONS, NO EXCUSES. If you will not be here on that date, turn your project in early. If you have questions about it, do not wait until the last minute to ask me. Government- Students did a biographical reading on Thurgood Marshall, Worksheets 13 and 14 from "The Living Constitution" workbook, Interpreting the Bill of Rights, and a worksheet on the amendments. If you were absent you need to do and turn in The Amendments. Your test on the Constitution will be this Thursday. Your My Big Campus assignment and discussion posts are due by this Sunday at 10pm. At that time I will close the discussion and not allow the submission of any more assignments. Remember to post your answer to the discussion topic on YOUR class page in MBC, NOT on your wall. To find the assignment, simply log into MBC and click the number next to your "schoolwork" link *Important News* Each MPS student has been issued a school email account. Your email address is as follows: firstname.lastname@carversr.mps-al.org. To access it go to the Carver website: www.carversr.mps-al.org and click on the link that says "student email."
