My apologies for neglecting to congratulate the members of the CHS football team for their tremendous victory over Prattville on yesterday's bloc post. Way to go, Wolverines! If you missed class today: U. S. History students did a bellringer entitled "Analyzing Historical Maps" and watched a documentary entitled "Boom or Bust" about the mining history of the west. If you were not in class you have until next Thursday to turn in a one page report on the subject of mining in the western U. S. in the 1800s. That is the ONLY way to make up this grade. U. S. History classes also have a homework assignment in which they have to construct a vertical bar graph tracing the growth of the gold mining industry. This is due the day after you return to class. There will be a Chapter 13 Section 2 quiz tomorrow. Government students did a vocabulary activity, a political cartoon, and a guided reading activity. All of these items are on the absentee bulletin board in class. We did not turn any of these items in. We also did Bellrinerg #4 entitlled "Government in a British Royal Colony". Do not forget that you must complete your speech analysis of a speech given during the Democratic National Conventiom amd turn it in by Friday.
