August 30 and 31

Extra credit assignment-- go to www.footprintnetwork.org and use the drop down menu under the link that says "Our Work", then click "personal footprint".  Click the button that says "take quiz". Choose our country then click the button that says "Get Started", create your avatar and do the interactive activity.  When you reach 100% completion it will generate a pie chart and circle graph.  This is what you need to print off and bring to me to get 15 extra points added onto your lowest test score. Due Thursday for 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th period.  Due Friday for 3rd and 7th period.

August 25th and 26th

Don't forget to complete your Five Themes of Geography activity.  It is due Monday.  If you were not in class you will need to get one from me or you can print one off of the class wiki: www.apricechs210.wikispaces.com.  You may choose any country as your subject except for the United States.  if you need a refresher on the Five Themes of Geography, there is a link to a youtube video on the wiki as well.

August 23 and 24

Students if you missed class  we did "Understanding Time Zones" and "Interpreting Resource Maps".  We also had a resource map as a homework assignment. These can be found on the absentee bulletin board.  Please remember that 2nd, 4th, and 6th period will have a test on geography skills on Thursday and 3rd, 5th, and 7th period will test on Friday.  The study guide is online on the class wiki.

August 18th and 19th

Students who missed class will need to get the bellringer entitled "World Map".  We also did a small group activity on road maps. There is no makeup or alternative assignment if you missed this activity.  You simply won't have a grade for it. Reminder: there will be a test next week on Geography Skills.  Your study guide is online on the class wiki (www.apricechs210.wikispaces.com).  Just click the link for your class.

August 16 & 17

All classes-- We did bellringer #3 "Reading a Bar Graph".  We also did "Finding Places Using Latitude and Longitude" and "Locating Places Using a Grid". Both of these can be picked up from the absentee bulletin board if you missed class.

August 15

All classes-- If you missed class today we did bellringer # 2 on Understanding the Parts of a Map and we went over "Direction and Distance" and "Locating Continents and Oceans."  If you have not yet you need to join Remind 101.  U.
